Frasers Property Australia has sold a parcel of land in Port Coogee to Regis Aged Care for an undisclosed sum.

Regis has already received development approval for a six-storey, 153-single bedroom residential aged care facility on the 3,800 square metre site.

“Port Coogee offers such a unique location and environment; it affords out clients a luxury setting with exceptional views and experiences which supports the premium quality of care our residents seek,” Regis property general manager Michael Horwood said.

Regis will soon commence a tender process to find a builder for the facility, with construction expected to begin before the end of the year.

It will take about 18 months to build.

Frasers Property Australia general manager WA Tony Perrin said Regis’s choice to build an aged care facility in Port Coogee further validated the design merits and unique attributes of the project.

“With appealing beaches, a marina, restaurants, apartments, a shopping centre and the soon-to-be added Regis aged care complex, Port Coogee will offer residents the most unique and convenient lifestyle in Perth’s best mixed-use marina development,” he said.

The new shopping centre at Port Coogee is due to open in June.
