Planning and Infrastructure minister Alannah MacTiernan has announced the following new appointments and reappointments:
Dampier
At Dampier, Australia's largest port, Tonia Swetman will serve a second term and Adam Parr has been appointed as representative for Hamersley Iron Pty Ltd.
Broome
Former Esperance Port Authority board member and chief executive officer of Portman Mining, Ian Burston, has been appointed chair of the Broome Port Authority. Broome councillor Veronica Wevers has been appointed to the board.
Port Hedland
Former Maritime Union of Australia official, Terry Buck has been appointed to the Port Hedland Port Authority and shipping company head Barry Ralston has been reappointed.
Geraldton
Local businesswoman Beverley Davidson has been appointed to the board at Geraldton.
Esperance
On the State's south coast at Esperance, two women, including the chair of the Esperance Port Development Consultative Committee, Toni Hawkins, and former Kalgoorlie MLA Megan Anwyl have been appointed to the board, along with Ian Mickel, former president of the WA Local Government Association and long-serving councillor with the Shire of Esperance.
