Reefton Mining NL has recovered 15 diamonds averaging 0.57 carats from the first bulk samples taken from its Skeleton Coast diamond project in Namibia. The diamonds weigh a total of 8.6 carats, with the largest stone being 1.59 carats.
The 15 diamonds were recovered from the Target 35 areas of the 30 Meters Beach Series within the Mowe Bay Sector on the Skeleton Coast, Namibia.
The 0.57 carat average size from Target 35 is significant when compared with the 0.23 carat average size for all of the diamonds recovered so far from the Skeleton Coast Project.
