Reducing risk exposure

LARRY Lopez has been appointed non-executive chairman of technology investment consultants CyberResearch.

Mr Lopez is senior vice-president and managing director of Silicon Valley Bank’s venture capital group.

CyberResearch specialises in providing technology due diligence for venture capitalists, investment banks and large corporations,

CyberResearch managing director Ivan Gustavino said the major benefit the company offered to its clients was the reduced exposure to risk.

“Armed with our analysis, the investor has a strengthened position for negotiation, a comprehensive understanding of the target company and its market and is able to assess the sustainability of its business model,” he said.

Mr Gustavino said Mr Lopez’s association with Silicon Valley Bank assisted CyberResearch gain recognition as a leader in providing technology investment advice in Australia.
