Readers response - Spin on rotation

I REFER to your article on auditor rotation (WA Business News February 15). We found your article very interesting and of vital importance to the auditing profession. Rix Levy Fowler currently audits a significant number of public-listed companies and is fully aware of the issues associated with auditor rotation. However, your article suggests that our firm is “likely to feel the squeeze on auditor rotation”. This is incorrect. I just wanted to take the opportunity to advise you that we have never had any auditor rotation issues (even before the laws were introduced) and will not have in future. We have always had enough active audit partners to deal with the rotation laws and also have other senior staff coming through our audit and corporate division that will ensure we don’t ever have any issues in this respect. In fact we had already formally programmed out our listed client auditor rotation requirements prior to the laws coming in. Ranko Matic – Partner, Rix Levy Fowler
