I THOUGHT there was a gap in the WA Business News branding survey in the August 10 edition. Channel 7, I contend, would be in good company in your top 10 of most recognised brands in WA. Seven Perth is proudly part of the national Seven Network, but its place in the business heritage of the state is well-established. Telethon (a vital sub-brand of Seven) is a charitable icon and possibly the most recognised brand of its type in WA. As well as producing our 6pm news bulletin each night, Seven also produces Today Tonight, Monday to Friday, and a host of documentary and lifestyle programs for broadcast. And next year we’ll resume our long association with footy. Our viewers get the best of both worlds in terms of local product and network fare. The broadcast, administrative, sales and editorial functions of the station are conducted from the studios in Dianella.
