THE historic Bridgetown railway station has been listed onto the State’s register of heritage treasures.
In announcing the heritage protection, Heritage Minister Graham Kierath said it was an important reminder of the days when railways were a key force in the economic development of regional areas.
The Bridgetown station was built in 1898 to help the surrounding agricultural region send its produce to the booming Goldfields and Perth markets.
