THE Western Australian Government will provide an extra $1 million over the next four years to the Royal Flying Doctor Service for its aircraft replacement fundraising campaign Flying into the Future.
The latest $1 million contribution takes the Government’s funding for new RFDS aircraft to $4.6 million.
Lotterywest will also contribute $2.1 million to the Flying into the Future campaign and the Department of Health will provide $1.5 million over the next three years.
The RFDS is seeking to raise $17 million to replace its ageing WA aircraft fleet.
