Quin to ECU

EDITH Cowan University has appointed Professor Robyn Quin to the position of executive dean of its newly-created Faculty of Education and Arts. The new faculty is born out of a merger of two previous faculties and comprises Kurongkurl Katitjin (School of Indigenous Studies), the schools of Communications and Contemporary Arts, Education and International, Cultural and Community Studies and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. In addition to the executive dean’s role, Professor Quin has also been appointed as the University’s new pro vice-chancellor (engagement and development). In this position she is responsible for the university’s internal and external communications, community engagement and alumni. Professor Quin has more than 20 years experience in the higher education sector serving at different times as a dean, head of school and a director of policy and planning.
