Quickflix has signed a deal with international electronics giant Samsung to make its pay-per-view video streaming service available on Samsung televisions and blu-ray players.
Quickflix said the launch of pay-per-play streaming on Samsung devices in Australia would be followed by the launch of subscription and pay-per-view streaming in New Zealand later this week.
The pay-per-view service is currently also available for streaming in Australia through Sony televisions, blu-ray players and home theatre devices.
Quickflix also announced earlier this month a raft of new deals for its pay per play service, including both Warner Bros and Disney, who joined Sony Pictures and Universal Studios, among a large list of movie studios.
At 1:30PM, Quickflix’s stock had lost 0.2 of a cent, trading at 5.3 cents.
