PwC to move into City Square

Accountancy firm PwC has signed a ten-year lease agreement with Brookfield Office Properties to occupy 8,500 square metres of office space in City Square.

The lease agreement takes the office tower to 93.3 per cent pre-committed, with the remaining space under negotiation.

"We are delighted to welcome PwC to City Square, which is fast establishing itself as Western Australia's premier business address," Brookfield Office Properties Australia chief operating officer, Kurt Wilkinson, said

"City Square is the largest premium-grade office development currently under construction in Australia.

"It has been designed to meet the demand from large internationally-recognised businesses, for world-class office space in Perth."

PwC's Perth managing partner John O'Connor said the move to City Square reflected the firm's belief in the continued growth of Western Australia as a business centre.

PwC currently occupies 5,000sqm on floors 19 and 21 of office tower QV1.

"We view Western Australia as a significant growth market for PwC and our new City Square premises will position us to continue our expansion plans in Perth," Mr O'Connor said.

"City Square is an exciting new development which places PwC in the hub of the CBD.

"Its design allows for large, interconnected work areas that meet the operational and cultural requirements of our firm. I am confident our staff will enjoy the environment of the new building which will offer an outstanding range of services and amenities."
