Prudential rethink

PRUDENTIAL Investment Company of Australia Limited has reissued its half-yearly accounts for the half year to December 31 2002.

According to a statement issued by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, Prudential Investment reversed an earlier accounting decision, which had allowed it to report a profit rather than a loss for the half year. The issue was brought to ASIC’s attention in the course of its review of all listed companies accounts in the 2002-03 year.
