On Wednesday July 28 UWA Extension will hold a course titled Project Management Fundamentals.
The course will explore the recent growth of project management as a career path in its own right and will introduce participants to the principles, tools and concepts of project management. It will also examine the role of a project manager, the roles of a team mem-ber, the lifecycle of a project and goal setting.
The course is recommended for newly appointed project managers, officers or project team members, and managers and supervisors who take on project roles.
On the agenda will be defining project management, why a project approach is implemented, issues faced throughout the course of the project, understanding the roles of senior management, and introducing the lifecycle of and key tasks in a project.
By completion participants should be able to understand the fundamentals and benefits of using techniques of project management, will be able to describe the roles and responsibilities of a project manager and demonstrate the knowledge of key project manager competencies and skills.
