Ms Prodonovich has been on the board of the SBDC for over six years.

Meanwhile, Goldfields Money chairman Allan Pendal has also joined the SBDC board, representing regional small businesses.

New appointments to guide small business growth

 

 

High profile businesswoman Kitty Prodonovich has been appointed chair of the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC).

A successful business owner, Ms Prodonovich was a winner of the Young Achiever Award and in 2002 received the Goldfields Business of the Year Award.  She is chief executive officer of the Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry of WA.  

Ms Prodonovich has been a valued member of the board since May 2008. 

Goldfields businessman Allan Pendal also joins the board to represent regional small businesses.

Small Business Minister Joe Francis expressed his thanks to outgoing chair Ray Mountney for his dedication and expertise in helping steer the corporation from 2009 to 2014.

“I welcome the two new appointments which will ensure the SBDC maintains a wealth of small business expertise and knowledge,” Mr Francis said.

The board’s new regional small business representative, Allan Pendal, is co-owner of a real estate business in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and has extensive experience in the finance and banking sectors. 

He has been financial controller and company secretary for a large public company.  

He is chair of ASX-listed Goldfields Money Limited and deputy mayor of Kalgoorlie-Boulder City Council.
