Post State Budget Luncheon

The Finance and Treasury Association WA chapter (FTA), in conjunction with Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia), is hosting a luncheon, May 12 at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, following the introduction of the WA State Budget into parliament on May 11. The guest speaker for this event is Eric Ripper MLA, deputy premier, treasurer, minister for government enterprises and minister assisting the minister for public sector management. Registration for this luncheon costs $60 for FTA/Finsia members and $80 for non members, with corporate tables available. Women in Export Austrade, in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is hosting a half-day seminar about women in the exporting industry, May 31 at the Matilda Bay Restaurant in Crawley. The event will provide a briefing for women who aspire to explore new markets overseas in a range of industries. It aims to help women in business to become more successful at exporting. Guest speakers for this seminar include: n Maurine Chong – senior trade commissioner, Singapore; n Elizabeth Massamune – senior trade commissioner, South Korea; n Leanne Preston – CEO, Wild Child; n Claire Linley – director, Skunkworks; and n Tim Harcourt – chief economist, Austrade.
