Perth-based Portman Iron Ore Ltd and Pluton Resources can proceed with a joint venture exploration program for Irvine Island in Broome, following the WA Minister for the Environment's dismissal of an appeal against the level of assessment placed by the EPA.

 

The announcement is pasted below:

 

Pluton Resources Ltd advises that the appeal against the level of assessment placed by the EPA ("not assessed - public advice given") on the up-coming exploration program for Irvine Island has been dismissed by the WA Minister for the Environment.

The Irvine Island Joint Venture partners are:

Pluton Resources Ltd 50%
Portman Iron Ore Ltd 50%

Listed on the ASX, Pluton Resources Ltd has a diversified portfolio of interests in tenements in Western Australia and Tasmania.

Tenements located in Western Australia are prospective for iron ore, and Pluton has the exclusive right to earn a 50 interest from its joint venture partner Portman Iron Ore Ltd.
