Port Hedland consortium named THE state government has selected a consortium comprising Satterley Property, Leighton Contractors and Ngarda Civil and Mining as the preferred proponent to investigate the development of a 120-hectare parcel of land in Port Hedland. The development is likely to include a variety of lot sizes for residential development, as well as a provision for affordable housing, commercial centres and mixed-use accommodation. Regional Development Minister Brendon Grylls said selecting a proponent was the first step in the process, with a view to a five- to 10-year time frame to develop the land to cope with ongoing demand. The consortium will now work with LandCorp to obtain the necessary rezoning, planning and environmental approvals
