WA-based business identities Peter Landau and Carl Popal have been appointed to the board of junior exploration company Eclipse Metals, following the resignation of all of its current directors.
The current board of Graeme Allan, Peter Del Fante and Shane Casley , as well as company secretary Robert Marusco, will all step down from their positions, the company announced today.
Mr Popal will take on the role of executive director, while Mr Landau and Bennett + Co corporate lawyer David Sanders have been appointed non-executive directors.
Corporate advisor Jane Flegg will assume the role of company secretary.
Mr Popal has more than 12 years’ experience in business and property development, and is currently managing director of Paynes Find Gold and Ghan Resources, while Mr Landau is a founding director of Okap Ventures and Komodo Capital.
Eclipse also announced today it had entered an agreement to loan Ghan Resources $500,000.
“The new board of Eclipse would like to express its appreciation of the considerable efforts of the previous board during their time with the company and wishes them best with their future endeavours,” the company said.
Eclipse shares went into a trading halt on Thursday last week, having last traded at 1.5 cents.
The company’s flagship assets comprise a portfolio of six project areas across 26,300 square kilometres, in the Northern Territory
The tenements are considered to be prospective for gold, base metals, rare earths and uranium.
