Pollard posting

DR David Pollard will return to WA to head health and community service provider MercyCare.

Dr Pollard is currently the chief executive officer for the Victorian Department of State Revenue and will take up the position of group chief executive officer left vacant by Michael Reutens.

Mr Reutens has been the chief executive of MercyCare for the past eight years and has been with the organisation for 17 years, serving on the board of directors.

Dr Pollard has spent a considerable amount of time working for the National Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace; the NSW Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs; and the Australian Securities Commission (now the Australian Securities).

MercyCare, which turned over $50 million last financial year, is owned and operated by Sisters of Mercy.

It owns Mercy Hospital and The Catherine McAuley Centre for Aged Care. MercyCare provides a range of residential, community and advocacy services designed to meet the needs of children, young people, families and the aged.
