Plans will be judged on merit

DEVELOPMENTS will be considered on their merits under the new land use plan which will launch the City of Bunbury into the 21st Century says Mayor John Castrilli.

The adoption of the Town Planning Scheme No.7 comes after six years of development and wide-ranging consultation.

The new scheme is expected to come into effect in three to six months.

Mr Castrilli described the TPS 7 as a living, breathing document.

“It gives council, developers and the community both flexibility and protection,” he said.
