Plan to rejuvenate Northbridge

ALF Lay, project director for the East Perth redevelopment project since March this year, has been appointed project director for the Northbridge Project also.

The East Perth Redevelopment Authority is responsible for both projects and an EPRA spokesperson said the appointment was part of the revised organisational structure of the authority.

Mr Lay’s new responsibilities will include market and sales planning, stakeholder and consumer interaction, market analysis, acquisition, due diligence and strategic management.

The first of new lots soon will be released in the Aberdeen Street redevelopment between Fitzgerald and William Streets, which is part of the project’s scope.

The project aims to "rejuvenate and revitalise" land in the Northbridge area, including areas surrounding the Northbridge Tunnel.

An EPRA said subdivision and land sales would continue over two years.
