Pindan has been awarded the construction contract for the $60 million MYVISTA aged care facility in Mirrabooka.
The project includes a 112-bed aged care facility and ancillary services, new corporate offices, a therapy pool and retirement living apartments.
The facility is set to open in 2020, with work commencing last month.
“We have worked in consultation with the project manager, Total Project Management, the board and staff of MYVISTA and architects Silver Thomas Hanley to design a state-of-the-art aged care facility and we are excited to see this project take shape,” he said.
MYVISTA chairman Tony Vallelonga said the aged care centre offered a range of new services.
“The location will allow our residents to access local amenities in the area with ease, and once completed the project will provide a great addition to the population density of the emerging Mirrabooka town centre,” he said.
“This project is aimed to really connect people within their local community, not only through its location, but also with modern and up-to-date facilities.
“Considerable thought has been placed around larger living spaces, access to digital technology and our environmental impact.
“The inclusion of facilities such as pharmacy, cafe, pool and specialist medical services on site will ease the access for the residents.”
