Physio helps team win gold

THE Note loves a happy ending. And with West Perth physiotherapist Ian Lowther in the locker room, the Australian men’s Paralympic basketball team got one. They defeated Canada 72-60 to wrap up gold in an emotional end to Rollers best campaign in more than a decade. Mr Lowther left his Hay Street practice to volunteer four weeks to the team who were desperate for a physiotherapist. It was Australia’s first gold medal in the sport since Atlanta in 1996
