Petroleum Economics
The Institute for International Research (IIR) in conjunction with Curtin University will hold an introductory course on the fundamentals of petroleum economics on June 28-30 at Rendezvous Observation City Hotel.
The industry standard introductory course is designed for petroleum engineers, geologists, geophysicists, government personnel and those working in exploration geoscience, finance, or commercial departments of petroleum companies.
The course has been created to give attendees an understanding of the role petroleum economics plays in decision making for Petroleum E & P, to give technical personnel the tools to make decisions, an understanding of the theory and application of the key economics concepts relevant to the industry, and the tools to develop and perform basic economic evaluations.
It also aims to introduce alternative analysis techniques and the latest theories in evaluation, and to identify important parameters in the development of cash flow models.
