Local tech startup Zora Tech has soft-launched its first product to market, an online advertising platform that aims to better connect content creators, retailers and customers to what they want to see online.

The MYN application and Google Chrome extension allows content creators (for example, on YouTube) to monetise their content by tagging products relevant to their videos that will take the consumer directly to a point of sale.

“The idea came about after noticing a product that our favourite character in Suits was wearing,” Zora Tech co-founder Kyle Arnold, one of four Arnold brothers who are all founders of the business, said.

“After many unsuccessful Google searches, we couldn’t find any information or a direct point of sale.

“We knew there should be a better way to discover the products you see every day on your favourite digital content.

“The MYN digital platform takes consumers of online media to a direct point of sale with a simple click on any product they are interested in.

“Our unintrusive interface doesn’t interrupt your browsing, and integrates seamlessly within the content your viewing.”

Mr Arnold said the product and buy information was displayed only if a customer wanted to find out more or engaged with the MYN tag.

The MYN model is free to sign up and use, only charging when users click on the products that they’re interested in.
