Perth’s top young architects named

KELLY Rattigan has won the Midland Brick Fellowship Award, which was announced as part of the Royal Australian Institute of Architecture’s Architecture Week.

Ms Rattigan, who is currently teaching at the University of Western Australia, plans to commence the fellowship, which provides $10,000 for the recipient to explore the innovative application of bricks in construction of buildings by mid-2004.

The funds can be used for research, study and overseas travel.

The Youth in Architecture Award was won by fifth year UWA architecture student Martin Musiatowicz.

Mr Musiatowicz was presented with a $3,000 cheque and a certificate.
