A Perth golf pro has developed a new iPhone application that he believes will help golfers around the world knock strokes off their scorecard.
The iSlice Golf app was designed by Duncan Kegg.
It "trains" the golfers hands to stay in the right position as he or she moves through their swing
"95 per cent of golfers come to me wanting advice on how to fix their slice," said Mr Kegg.
"Using the iPhone's built-in accelerometer, the iSlice Golf app monitors the position of a golfer's hands and forearms at six critical stages of their golf swing," he said.
"The iPhone becomes an extension of the clubface, the app tells them if they're in the right position and if not, where they should be."
Mr Kegg started worked on the app last year and enlisted the help of ASC Software.
The money needed to back the project came from members of the Mt Lawley Golf Club.
Mr Kegg has high hopes for the Perth made iSlice Golf and after launching it on the Australian market he will be heading overseas to promote it.
