Crown ResortsBarry Felstead and ABN Group’s Andrew Roberts are among the top five fundraisers this year for Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout, raising more than $130,000 each to help break the cycle of homelessness.

The event raised $6.9 million in 2018, with proceeds going towards meals, beds and support programs for homeless people across the country.

This year, more than $7.8 million has been raised, exceeding the target of $7.1 million.

Mr Felstead is currently the highest fundraiser for Perth, having raised $146,021 for the charity.

Mr Roberts is the fourth highest fundraiser, with $130,445 raised, and Stuart Tonkin of Northern Star Resources the sixth, having raised $102,038.

Mr Roberts said in an internal email that though the experience was uncomfortable, he was happy to have made a difference.

"It was a wet and windy one, a real eye opener of an experience, but nowhere even close to what more than 116,000 Australians face everyday," he said.

"This is the equivalent to relocating 434 people sleeping rough to accommodation services."

"I may not have reached my fundraising target, but we've come extremely close and have absolutely smashed our shared goal to help homeless Australians."
