Perth Fashion Festival hailed a success

The 2010 Perth Fashion Festival has been hailed a success with record ticket sales and sold out events.

Tourism Minister Liz Constable said there was an increase in visitors to the state over the past seven days with people coming to see the array of local and international models and designers.

"The Perth Fashion Festival is now in its second decade and continues to display the vibrancy and creativity unique to this State," she said.

Arts Minister John Day said there was a great range of free events which featured the state's most creative designers and artists.

"It is high calibre events such as the 2010 Perth Fashion Festival that cement WA's position as a premier fashion destination," he said.

"The Perth Fashion Festival is one of a diverse range of arts and cultural events supported by the State Government, and in itself offers a wide range of exciting events which have something to offer everyone."
