Perth-based land developer Peet has been appointed by Defence Housing Australia to manage and market a 465-lot residential development in Brisbane’s Warner Springs.
DHA will retain around 30 per cent of the development to provide housing for Australian Defence Force and their families.
The remaining homesites will be made available to the public.
Peet managing director Brendan Gore said the agreement was a significant and strategic partnership in one of the group’s key markets.
“Peet has a strong commitment to South East Queensland and the agreement with DHA follows the announcement earlier this year of a partnership with MTAA Super to develop a 10,000-residential lot community and a city centre at Flagstone,” Mr Gore said in a statement.
“We have been particularly active in the Moreton Bay region and the Warner Springs site – just 20 kilometres from Brisbane and closer still to the Enoggera Army Base – presents a tremendous opportunity to deliver another quality, masterplanned residential community in South East Queensland.”
At close of trade today Peet’s stock was up 0.8 per cent, to $1.17.
