Pearce joins Cedar Woods board

Fortescue Metals Group chief financial officer Stephen Pearce has been appointed a non-executive director of Cedar Woods Properties.

Mr Pearce has almost 30 years of senior executive and director experience at public-listed companies in the resources, oil and gas, energy and utilities sectors.

He has previously held the position of managing director of Southern Cross Electrical Engineering and, before that, was CFO of Alinta.

He is a non-executive director of the Lions Eye Institute.

Cedar Woods chairman William Hames said Mr Pearce’s appointment would strengthen the board considerably.

“Stephen brings a wealth of relevant skills to the Cedar Woods board. His financial knowledge and capital markets experience will be of huge benefit to the company, as will his understanding of project management and delivery.”

The appointment is effective from May 16.
