Former Federal Department of Education and Training secretary Lisa Paul has been appointed as a non-executive director of Perth-based companies Navitas and Programmed Maintenance Services.
Ms Paul announced her resignation from the public service in December last year after over 11 years as head of the department.
She was made an officer of the Order of Australia in 2011, and was awarded a Public Service Medal in 2003 following her handling of the domestic response to the 2002 Bali Bombings.
In addition to her new roles with Programmed and Navitas, Ms Paul sits on the boards of not-for-profit organisations Social Ventures Australia, Australian Schools Plus, and the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth.
She also has previous experience as a member of CSIRO’s board.
