THE long-running battle between South Australian mining supply company SDS Corporation and the parent of its takeover target International Drill Quip is expected to return to the courts next month.
Ted Rear, a director of IDQ holding company Pasdonnay, said his lawyers, Cullen Babington Hughes, had advised him that it had found 13 grounds to appeal the WA Supreme Court’s decision earlier this year to uphold the takeover.
Mr Rear said he was looking forward to resolving the long legal battle and was confident of overturning the decision.
He said that, if the appeal was successful, he planned to restart the company’s research and development program for the reverse circulation drill hammers and bits.
