Party time

TROY’S Party, the online magazine for Perth socialites, went live last week. The website received 20,000 hits in its first 24 hours of operation.

The site, while primarily a catalyst to promote high-profile party events, operates as a magazine with horoscopes, lifestyle columns, and what’s on sections, just to name a few.

Troy Barbagello, a shareholder in the company behind the site, Premier Media Promotions, said the group has appointed The Marketing Mix to manage the site to give advertisers added functionality.

The first party to be launched on the site, and receiving substantial commercial advertising, is the Penguin in the Jungle party. It is a black tie event and ticket proceeds go to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.
