Pacific Energy has been appointed to build, own and maintain a power station for Sandfire Resources' DeGrussa copper gold project.
Pacific announced today that its subsidiary, Kalgoorlie Power Systems, had won a seven-year contract to build and maintain a 20 megawatt power facility at DeGrussa, which is located around 170 kilometres north of Meekatharra.
The contract will commence in February next year.
Pacific managing director Adam Boyd said the contract was the largest single contract win for the company since May 2009.
"It also comes off the back of strong recent contract wins and expands the KPS business to more than 175MW across 17 mine sites across Australia," Mr Boyd said.
Mr Boyd said new contract negotiations were continuing and would be announced in the near future.
Recent contract wins for Pacific include a 12MW station at Regis Resources' Garden Well project and a 3MW power station at Alacer Gold Corp's Chalice gold mine.
Its stock gained 2.2 per cent today, to finish trading at 46 cents.
