PS Structures has won an $18.6 million contract to build the state netball centre, which will be part of the Matthews netball centre in Jolimont.
The state government has allocated $26.1 million for the total cost of the state netball centre.
This contract follows recent redevelopment of the outdoor courts, roadways, car parking, water and fire service infrastructure and landscaping at Matthews netball centre by civil engineering contractor Ertech.
The indoor facility will be integrated into Wembley sports park, which when completed will house facilities for netball, cricket, baseball and AFL football.
The state netball centre will include four indoor netball courts, facilities for Perth’s professional netball team West Coast Fever, spectator seating for 1,050 people, Netball WA offices, nine change rooms and a kiosk.
Construction is due to start in August and scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
In August last year, Balcatta-based PS Structures won a $28.8 million contract for the first stage of construction works at the new Byford Senior High School.
