PCH signs deal to work with Presco

Malaga-based scaffolding and form-work supplier PCH Group Ltd has announced plans to work with Singapore-based scaffolding company Presco Scaffolding and Services Ltd.

The company had been rumoured to be in talks with UK-based industrial services company Cape PLC for a possible takeover, though Cape had refused to confirm it would make a bid.

Singapore based scaffolding specialist Presco Scaffolding & Services Pte Ltd and the publicly listed Australian company, PCH Group Ltd today announced the formation of a strategic partnership to service selected major construction projects in Singapore.

Both companies are considered market leaders in their respective regions for providing scaffolding services to the oil & gas, petrochemicals and process industries. The partnership, which is in the form of a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), unites Presco's 24 years of Singapore scaffolding knowledge and expertise with PCH's international scaffolding resources and experience.

Both companies have reputations within the industry for professionalism and high standards of safety and quality. The LLP creates the capacity to jointly provide the following unique blend of capabilities in the Singapore market:

• access to local and international scaffolding labour
• in-house scaffolder training and accreditation facilities
• expatriate scaffolding management services
• specialised local scaffolding logistics and materials handling infrastructure
• accredited quality and safety management systems
• access to significant stock levels complying with international standards
• design and engineering services

Singapore is forecast to enter a major upswing in construction activity and contracting resources are predicted to become stretched.

The partnership and pooling of resources of the two companies to form Presco PCH LLP will strengthen their respective abilities to
comprehensively and efficiently meet the resource demands of major projects during this time.
