Otto appoints new CEO and CFO

Otto Energy Ltd last week appointed two senior officers with international experience in petroleum ventures, following the resignation of managing director Jaap Poll. Alexander Parks (top) has been appointed chief executive officer and Bruce Elsholz has been appointed chief financial officer. Mr Parks is the 2006 Young Petroleum Engineer of the Year and has held senior management positions for the last five years in Perth, including managing director of Troy-Ikoda Australasia and technical director of geoscience and engineering for RPS Energy (Australia/SE Asia). Mr Parks will be supported by Mr Poll, who will assume the role of executive director assisting the new chief executive. Mr Elsholz has been financial controller and company secretary in companies within the oil industry, working both in Australia and Canada. He has been involved in projects in Turkey, the Philippines and South America, which are areas of current activity for Otto.
