Opportunities for Trade with Malaysia

On Wednesday March 16 the Department of Industry and Resources, with the support of the Australia-Malaysia Business Council, will host a seminar on Current and Future Opportunities for Trade with Malaysia, at the Parmelia Hilton. The seminar will include presentations from: • Western Australian Trade Office regional director (Malaysia and Singapore) Colin Slattery, who will speak on updated business opportunities in Malaysia; • Department of Industry and Resources state development strategies manager Karen Hall, who will discuss the ASEAN and Malaysian Free Trade Agreements; • Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade deputy director Susan Allen, who will launch DFAT’s report “Malaysia: An Economy Reformed”; and • Business Horizons managing director David Winter, who will give a personal account of doing trade in Malaysia.
