Here’s a case study of one of our clients: Tread Softly Wines
In 2022, Carbon Neutral started a collaboration with Tread Softly, a New South Wales-based wine company. The agreement was simple: for every case of wine sold, Tread Softly would ask Carbon Neutral to plant a tree. This strategic approach far exceeded initial expectations .
Almost immediately, Tread Softly began reaping the benefits of promoting this new program. The Tread Softly Forest grew into a reality.
Carbon Neutral allocated 810 hectares of cleared and over-cultivated land for the development of the Tread Softly Forest.
The Tread Softly Forest not only aids in the restoration of precious ecosystems but also serves as a crucial carbon sink, purifying the air and enhancing soil and water quality..
To date, the number of trees planted by Carbon Neutral on behalf of Tread Softly has surpassed 1,500,000 and continues to grow.
This milestone is a testament to the efficacy of the innovative trees-per-product model and reflects our shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
Many Carbon Neutral customers have looked at alternative models as well. These include Valhu who plant a tree for every page of valuation report produced; Ulleo who plant a tree for every student registered, (with an ambitious stated target of planting over 250,000 trees by the end of 2030); Jucy, who offer clients the option of an additional $1.50/day for campervan hire that goes towards planting trees; Bespoke Finance Group who plant a tree per successful loan application; Chemform who plant a tree for every sale of a specific range of chemical products through their National network.
