Offices need email

EMAIL is an import-ant tool for chief financial officers of small to medium enter-prises, a survey found.

The survey of 40 chief financial officers by interBiz Financial Group found 82 per cent used email at work and 64 per cent used it five or more times a day.

All respondents believed email was a positive productivity tool but 24 per cent felt it was overused.

Nearly half said they would reply or act on an email immediately.

Of those using email, 52 per cent used it to communicate within the organisation, 6 per cent to communicate with external suppliers, customers and partners and 42 per cent used it for both.
