TWO WA Tourism Commission officers have won a $20,000 Federal Government grant to kick-start sustainable tourism accommodation in rural WA.
The Office of National Tourism grant will be used to determine how the types of ecotourism accommodation in Africa and the Carribean can be used for low-impact, nature-based tourism in WA.
The WATC’s Steve Crawford and Ross MacCulloch led a team of WA tourism industry businessmen to Africa and the West Indies.
The benefits gained from the mission will have an impact on several current projects including the Ibis Aerial Highway, a joint WATC-CALM initiative.
