East Perth-based limestone business Oakajee Corporation has made a premium debut on the stock market today, opening at 10 per cent above its 20c issue price.
Shares in the company opened at 22c this morning before closing at 19c, giving it a market capitalisation of $3.9 million.
The company plans to establish and operate a limestone quarry and manufacture products on a property near Geraldton, 12 months after listing.
The property is near the proposed Oakajee deep water port and the company has access to an unspecified amount of limestone resources for up to 80 years.
Sitting on the board is managing director Richard Hacker, non-executive directors Clive Boyle and Zaffer Soemya and company secretary Miranda Conti.
