The Australian Marketing Institute is the peak body for the marketing industry. The not-for-profit organisation traces its origin back to 1933 and has evolved to meet the changing needs of marketers, delivering services to help members maximise their professional growth.

One of the AMI’s main programs is its Certified Practising Marketer accreditation. The organisation aims to make that accreditation equivalent to the accounting profession’s CPA. The AMI in WA has also entered into an agreement with Notre Dame university. Students from that institution have their marketing units recognised towards their CPM accreditation.
