Northfleet in third buy

Northfleet Transport has made its third acquisition in recent months by adding Vasse-based Cape Crane Hire to its business.

Cape Crane is based in the South West and has been operating in the region for over a decade by providing mobile crane hire and associated services such as welding and rigging.

Northfleet announced the acquisition today, which is set to add another 10 staff members to its team.

Northfleet managing director Toby Hagen said he was excited to welcome Cape Cranes to the business.

“We are very excited to welcome Cape Cranes into the Northfleet family and are eager to expand on our existing Crane Fleet and various service capabilities in the South West,” Mr Hagen said.

Broadly, it said the acquisition builds on Northfleet’s ability to offer a more "complete" transport solution, with several large-scale construction projects set to start this year.  

The business also flagged the opening of a new Bunbury depot next month.

“With the opening of our new Bunbury Depot next month, our clients will have complete access to our suite of services to assist with all their transport, crane and trucking requirements.”

It represents the third acquisition completed by Northfleet in four months after acquiring Kwik Logistics in November and JSS Logistics in December last year.
