Northfleet Transport says it is on track becoming one of WA’s largest truck and transport companies after acquiring privately owned business JSS Logistics.

Northfleet announced it had acquired JSS and its 35 prime movers and 130 trailers today, marking its second acquisition in the last month.

JSS Logistics operates specialised transport services throughout Perth Metro, Pilbara and Kimberley regions and greater Western Australia, with branches in Karratha and Perth.

Northfleet also acquired Kwik Logistics in late November.

In combining JSS Logistics, Kwik Logistics with Northfleet’s existing transport business, the company says it has created one of WA’s largest and most diverse Truck, Crane, Haulage and Transport companies.

Northfleet estimates it now has some 100 staff on its books.

Northfleet managing director Toby Hagen said JSS Logistics was a welcome addition to the Northfleet Group.

“Combined with our recent acquisition of Kwik Logistics, merging these two great businesses’ into Northfleet Transport creates one of Western Australia’s largest and most diverse Trucking and Logistics companies,” Mr Hagen said in a statement.

"We are delighted to welcome all JSS employees and clients."

Northfleet has grown from a fleet of 12 vehicles when it was founded in 2006 to over 750 units.
