Nomad wins $30m Woodside contracts

Nomad Building Solutions has secured contracts worth nearly $30 million from Woodside Petroleum for the construction of two housing lots in the Pilbara, which will house workers for the Pluto liquefied natural gas project.

One of the contracts will be directed towards Nomad subsidiary Rapley Wilkinson Property, which will provide 29 strata titled villas on two housing lots in the Karratha suburb of Nickol West.

Nomad acting managing director Alan Thomas said three of the group's businesses would service this contract.

"Rapley Wilkinson is the development manager; McGrath Homes will build the two bedroom two bathroom villas in Perth and transport them to Karratha; while Rapley Wilkinson's construction division will undertake the site works and install the units," he said.

McGrath Homes will also supply and install 16 three bedroom, two bathroom houses on individual lots through Karratha .

Nomad said site works on the housing lots will start this month with targeted handover of the completed villas in July.
