Leederville-based aspiring iron ore developer, Golden West Resources Ltd, has appointed Patrick Gallagher to its board as a non-executive director. Mr Gallagher is a former associate professor of law at the University of New South Wales. He is currently a non-practicing barrister at law in NSW, and has lectured in taxation law and corporate governance and accountability at Macquarie University. Mr Gallagher was the foundation president of the Australasian Tax Teachers Association from 1995-97 and has provided independent corporate governance and strategic planning consulting services to the private sector. His appointment to Golden West coincides with an escalation of the company’s iron ore project at West Wiluna.
