Murdoch University deputy vice-chancellor research, Professor Andris Stelbovics, has moved to Curtin University of Technology to take on the role of executive dean of the division of science and engineering. Based at Murdoch since 1984, Professor Stelbovics has held a number of positions, including lecturer, head of department and joint director of the centre for atomic, molecular and surface physics. In 1997, he was jointly awarded the Australian Institute of Physics’ Boas medal for physics research, recognising his work in theoretical physics, and scattering theory and the modelling of atomic collisions, in particular.
