THE City of Perth has appointed Robert Mianich as its new director of corporate services, with responsiblility for the city’s financial services, information services, human resources and corporate support. Mr Mianich, 46, is a chartered accountant and his a strong background in finance, capital budgeting and major infrastructure projects. He comes to the city after eight years at the State Department of Treasury and Finance where he served in various senior finance roles including directorships in asset planning and management, asset financing and accounting. Mr Mianich also spent 10 years in senior roles in the commercial sector, including eight years in retial. Mr Mianich has recently been involved in large government infrastructure projects such as New MetroRail, the redevelopment of land above the new William Street station, Northbridge Link, the Old Treasury Buildings and the CBD Courts Project.
